(ECNS) -- An increasing number of airlines are resuming international flights to this October on routes including China to Asia, Europe and America.
China Eastern Airlines will resume several international flights in late October, including Shanghai-Bangkok-Qingdao, Hangzhou / Qingdao / Nanjing / Kunming -Tokyo Narita, Qingdao / Nanjing / Yantai - Seoul Incheon, Qingdao-Dubai and other routes, according to the company on Monday.
China Eastern Airlines plans to increase international passenger routes to 42 and 108 flights every week from Oct. 30, it said.
Since July this year, China Eastern has gradually resumed its Hangzhou-Manila, Hangzhou-Kuala Lumpur, Qingdao-Osaka, Qingdao-Seoul Incheon, Kunming-Colombo and other international flight routes.
As of mid-October, its weekly international routes have increased to 25 with 54 flights.
China Southern Airlines will resume international passenger flights, including Guangzhou-Jakarta and Dalian-Tokyo, later this month to meet demand, according to the company.
It will also increase flights from Guangzhou to Dubai, Manila, Bangkok, Phnom Penh and more before the end of the month.
China Southern Airlines will have a total of 86 international round-trip flights per week after the resumptions and frequency changes, it said.
Air China said last month that it will resume several international routes.
Among them, those to Manila, Jakarta, and Tokyo are applicable to trips dating from Sept. 19, 2022 to Oct. 29, 2022. The routes to Warsaw, Athens, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Toronto are available from Sept. 19 to Dec. 31.
Other Chinese carriers including Hainan Airlines, Spring Airlines and Juneyao Airlines have also announced the resumption of international routes or increased frequencies.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said China will steadily resume regular international passenger flights and help reboot the international aviation market considering Cvoid-19 pandemic control measures, said an official of the CAAC at a press conference in July.
